Publishing Skills
Many of
the students who enrol on the course arrive with little or no undergraduate
experience of publishing. This professional skills component is designed
to build the key skills and knowledge required. The module
is non-assessed so students who are joining with a publishing background
can be selective regarding the sessions they attend. Through seminars,
workshops and field trips the module is taught during both semesters.
The main aim is to establish a framework for good working practise and
learn skills that can be utilised throughout the course and in the work
