COURSE MODULE 508

292K, A4, 3 pages module description

The Publishing Process
The 508 module is a personal project, chosen independently and can be developed for print or electronic media. It draws together the taught elements of the course and allows you to specialise in your own area of interest.

The aim is for you to develop an idea from the initial commissioning stages through to production whilst making editorial decisions and working in line with your intended audience.

The module runs through both terms. During the first term there are taught sessions covering topics such as team management, copy-editing, production of printed material and marketing. Tutorials are available in the second term to support your project.

Some projects in the past have been live, and students work has been published for the general public.
